Nocturnes is an in-progress series of screen-printed nightscapes exploring the mysteries hidden by darkness and the emotions evoked by night. Darkness hides and abstracts reality forcing us to search for familiarity. Searching and contemplating the hidden mysteries of darkness elicits emotions of fear, danger, and death but also feelings of stillness, calmness, tranquility, and curiosity.
